Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group

The Training Group was previously known as ATLAS Training Group and was formed in August 1974 as Steeplejack Industry Training Group to organise systematic training for the Industry.

The group work closely with the National Federation of Master Steeplejacks and Lightning Conductor Engineers (now ATLAS, Association of Technical Lightning & Access Specialists) to formulate a national apprenticeship scheme, a qualificational system and to expand the training facilities in Association with CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) at the National Construction College, Bircham Newton, Norfolk.

Group training ranges from new construction apprentices right through all craft training to bespoke supervisory and management courses.
